To hire a vehicle for self-drive you must have a current driver’s license, as follows:
10-12 seats - C Class license (same as car)
13-24 seats - LR-Class license
24+ seats - MR-Class license
HR-Class license - a vehicle that has 3 or more axles and a gross vehicle mass greater than 8,000kg.
