Established in 2016 with a team of only six, working from a small back room office with a couple of PC’s, thecoachcompany.co.nz has now almost tripled in size having sixteen direct employees with a number of additional support staff. We’re now experiencing year on year growth and feel we have already established our presence in the market somewhat, but also understand there is a huge amount left to do, and a lot more opportunities for success that we look to share with our partners in the future.
Without our affiliates, our current level of growth cannot be achieved. Delivering the highest levels of service in a highly competitive minibus and coach hire marketplace can only be achieved with the cooperation of our partners. To keep up with the increasing demand we are generating we are currently adding around ten new operators a month, this is mainly achieved through word of mouth and via social media. We are quickly establishing a great track record regards the actual services provided, evidenced through the constant positive feedback we receive from clients, and this is all down to you our partners.
We provide a dedicated Affiliate Account Manager, Mel, who makes sure all operators are registered correctly on our in-house Supply Partner Portal, ensures that they are educated on the use of the portal and other technologies, reacts to feedback provided by our partners and provides feedback as requested. Her role is to ensure you are happy, up to speed with current techs and processes, and to make sure the experience of working with thecoachcompany.co.nz is a positive one for our partner network. Operators are able to make bids, see records of current and past jobs and all new jobs currently open for bids through the portal and also stores information like accreditations, fleet/vehicle insurances, public liability insurances and private hire licences.
As it stands today, we are able to successfully offer pricing and carry out the majority of work requested but we do find ourselves having to turn down jobs during peak seasons and the biggest events (eg Christchurch Cup). We are looking into awarding operators who provide not only the level of service our customers expect but go above and beyond that level of expectation. We are currently discussing the idea of some form of recognition for the best operators and are thinking about how to score this, if you have any suggestions or input please let us know.
